SY Asia is a magnificent luxury charter yacht which was recently launched in January 2009. She is now available for charter in the remote Mergui Archipelago (Burma), the Andaman Islands (India), Thailand and Malaysia and in the Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa, Komodo and Flores region of Indonesia.



SY Asia is an extremely spacious and luxurious charter yacht. The yacht provides accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 ensuite staterooms.

She has a cutter rig sloop designed for excellent sailing performance and is superbly equipped with the latest in navigational, satellite communications, entertainment and safety equipment. SY Asia is insured for charter with Lloyd’s of London.


The yacht is luxuriously finished in Burmese teak combining luxurious leather sofas in the saloon with practical sunbrella sofas in the pilothouse and cockpit. The soft furnishings, artwork and accessories throughout have an Asian flair to suit the theme of this beautifully decorated yacht. Thai silks and art provide tasteful splashes of colour to the interior décor.

Guests can enjoy relaxing in the beautifully crafted teak pilot house with its 360o views of the outdoors, or lounge in the saloon with its plush leather seating and large picture windows.

Fully equipped for snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, kayaking, BBQ’s, beach picnics, watching DVD’s and satellite TV or just lazing about reading a good book, SY Asia caters for every guest’s needs.

SY Asia has a huge teak deck, and a large, comfortable, shaded cockpit area with twin dining tables that seat 10 guests.




The enormous saloon comes complete with a large dining table which seats 10 guests, a lounge, an office area with PC, broadband internet connection and a wet bar - which is fully stocked with a fridge, coffee/cappuccino machine, a wide variety of teas, chocolates and cookies.

Guest accommodation aboard SY Asia
is in 5 luxurious staterooms:

• 2 staterooms have king size double beds
• 2 staterooms can be configured with either twin beds or king size double beds to suit the guest requirements;
• 1 stateroom has twin beds.

All the cabins have individual air-con controls, 220V power sockets, LCD screens, wardrobe and drawers. Each cabin has its own en-suite bathroom complete with shower, electric toilet and 220V power socket.

SY Asia combines superior quality snow whitecottons for all the sheets, pillow cases and duvets aboard combined with decorative pure Thai silk. , bath and swim towels aboard.

Food aboard SY Asia

We pride ourselves on the cuisine served aboard SY Asia during each and every charter. We try to cater to suit every palette and use only the freshest ingredients available in the local areas in which we operate. Cuisine served aboard SY Asia is a variety of Thai and European dishes combined with a wide variety of the freshet seafood.

Breakfast is served as a buffet and includes a selection of fresh fruits in season, yogurts, cereals, freshly baked croissants or raisin breads, toast, teas, coffees and fruit juices. Also available are bacon, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, chef’s omelettes (filled with a choice of cheese, bacon, ham, mushrooms, tomatoes or smoked salmon). Enjoy a naughty breakfast from time to time with the chefs wonderful pancakes prepared plain or stuffed with banana and served with honey and lemon.

Lunch aboard SY Asia is typically light as the weather is generally hot. Lunch consists of a wonderful variety of fresh salads, seafood salads, satays, freshly made spring rolls, quiches, home made breads and sashimi and sushi when the fishing has been promising…

Evening meals are the main meal of the day aboard and guests are spoilt by the chef….Expect to be tantalized with large tiger prawns in garlic and oyster sauce on a bed of pineapple and coriander jasmine rice, spicy hot basil fish cakes, the catch of the day prepared whole on a charcoal fire, traditional Thai green curry served in baked whole coconuts, sirloin steaks cooked to perfection, marinated chicken flatties, pork roastlets wrapped in bacon topped with pineapple and cherries. A wide selection of vegetables, breads and speciality rice dishes compliment the menu.

Your chef will also prepare deserts, cakes, cookies, snacks, Irish coffees and a unique blend of tropical sunset cocktails for you to enjoy during your charter.

SY Asia is crewed by her dedicated owners as captain and chef. They both have a superb reputation and 12 years experience chartering in South East Asia. They are co-authors of the Andaman Sea Pilot (the definitive navigational guide for the area. See www.andamanseapilot.com ) and write a wide variety of destination based articles for international publications.

They are experienced sailors, divers and adventurers who will pamper you and tcare of your every need.

Together with 3 experienced local crew members (2 deckhands and a hostess), the crew of SY Asia form a very professional team.
